About Munazza
My Story :
My name is Munazza Saleem, I am a medical Doctor
born and raised in Pakistan affiliated with Pakistan
Medical and Dental Council(PMDC), Currently, I am not
associated with any organization and working, just
started my Master in Health Studies journey at
Athabasca and hope to contribute in Canadian
Healthcare soon and to be counted among one of the
best alumna on graduating.
Ever since I was young I’ve had a passion and love for
comforting others in every possible way. Throughout
my academic period I became extremely interested in
health programs and developed a desire to advocate for
health programs in our communities through education
and outreach to help our communities, also when I
started working as a physician back home, I was heavily
involved with various health organization, My
involvement and leadership in several hospitals
associations were profound. Shortly, I started taking
part and help in the planning, evaluation, and
implementation of organization policies. For Master in
health studies consciously I choose Teaching focus stream as I strongly believe that through education, I can help shape the next generation, which will ultimately influence the quality of care provided to patients and I want my self to educate enough to do that in future.
I became intrigued with research as an undergraduate student where I had the opportunity to work as part of my Bachelor program. The knowledge I gained as an undergraduate student, encouraged me to engage further. I am actively looking for research opportunities where I could further enhance my research skills.
When fate drives me to Canada, I felt I am blessed with an opportunity to utilize my skills and I ended up applying in Athabasca University with the aim to learn skills to discern emerging trends, anticipate future directions in health services and provide leadership and education in health care.
The objective of this e-portfolio is to reflect on my professional growth and journey in health care, evaluate where I fit in, and look to the future to shape how I can make a difference in our dynamic Canadian health care system.
